Rare Earth Insurance Partners (“Rare Earth”) today announced that with effect from 1st July, Wang Wei will take over as Chief Executive with incumbent Phil Bilney assuming the new role of Executive Chairman.

Wang Wei has over 20 years’ experience working in the Asia Pacific insurance market. Since joining the firm in July 2019 as Chief Consultant, he has driven Rare Earth’s mainland China operations in Beijing and Shanghai, providing advice and guidance to clients both in China and overseas.

Bilney said: “Rare Earth’s exceptional cloud-based business model has met with some remarkable success, which has enabled us to accelerate our planned investments in both expertise and technology infrastructure. It is particularly exciting that Wei is now in a position to take over the lead role and drive our growth forward from his position in Beijing.”

Wang Wei will work closely with Phil Bilney in his role as Executive Chairman. Phil will continue to operate from Rare Earth’s global headquarters in Hong Kong, focusing on the group’s corporate strategy and development.
